East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP)
The East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP), based at Loughborough University, is a collaborative enterprise which allows partners access to secure a range of services enabling them to devise a systematic way of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of their widening participation (WP) outreach interventions.

Having grown organically since its creation in 2011, in response to the cut in Aimhigher funding, the partnership now comprises thirty-one HEI, FEC and National Collaborative Outreach Partnership (NCOP) members, located across the Midlands.

By working together and with equal representation, the partnership provides a service which can adapt to both the needs of individual partners and the requirements set out by external government agencies.

The partnership’s range of monitoring and evaluation services includes utilising data to effectively target learners for interventions, capturing and storing learner data on a bespoke database, and deploying appropriate methods to monitor and evaluate members’ outreach work, with the aim of tracking learners through their educational lifecycle.
