Promoting Access through the Creative Arts: University of the Western Cape and Youth from the Rural Community of Barrydale, South Africa

This case study reports on the collaborative initiatives by University of the Western Cape, Net Vir Pret, and Handspring Trust to empower youth through creative arts including an annual puppetry parade and academic support programs, fostering university access. Despite funding challenges, the program has helped 60+ students pursue higher education.
