Equity-Focused Endowment Fund at the Technology University of Malaysia

This case study examines the UTM Endowment Fund, launched in 2009, to support underprivileged students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Rebranded in 2011, it provides scholarships and academic resources through philanthropic contributions, benefiting over 700 students by 2020. The fund addresses equity gaps and sustains UTM’s academic and research initiatives.
