What were the aims of the activity/event?
The objective of this event was to provide a platform for discussion and exchanges of best practices as well as strategic planning for the future – especially in the context of the 4th Industrial revolution. Silliman together with the British Council welcomed the opportunity to strengthen its core program for Whole Person Education and internationalization.

Audience
This conference was aimed at Academy Leaders and 60-100 delegates attended.

What happened during this event?
Welcoming Remarks were presented by Dr Betty Cernol McCann, President, Silliman University and Lotus Postrado, Head of Education at the British Council, Philippines.
A keynote on ‘Quality and Access to Higher Education through Transnational Education’ was delivered by Dr Janet Ilieva, Founder, Education Insight UK. This was followed by a HE Stakeholders panel session on ‘Higher Education Platforms and Trends’ that saw contributions from representatives of the CHED International Affairs amongst others. A discussion on ‘International Mobility and Scholarships’ was also hosted by hosted by Dr Jenny Lind Elmaco, Director, Strategic Partnerships, Silliman University and a plenary discussion involving insights and sharing from HE students followed.
The conference closed with focus group discussions on Transnational educational study (TNE) priorities in the Philippines

What were key messages coming out from the event?
Importance of sustainable reforms in HE, the need to strengthen diversity and inclusion programs, creation of learning hubs among HEs, finding the balance in light of new technologies and global challenges
