University for All Town Hall Meeting

University College Dublin

26th November 2018

The University Widening Participation Committee are hosting a University for All Townhall meeting to discuss our journey towards becoming an institution that is accessible and inclusive for all students.

University College Dublin have made significant progress: in 2017/18, 29.7% of our undergraduate student population was drawn from under-represented groups, including those from low-income households, students with disabilities, and mature students. However, there is more work to be done, for example, telling the story of UCD as an inclusive University, and in further levelling of the playing field (Cothrom na Féinne).

We are convening this Townhall meeting to celebrate the University’s achievements in Widening Participation, but also to hear from you and your colleagues on the challenges and opportunities to enhance the access and experience of under-represented student cohorts in your particular domain.
